About the Work
If I were a spider I would weave a web to collect all of the things I love in. Like my family, my music, my art, my memories and my dogs. I would bask in the sun, sometimes not moving for days but always knowing that any joy and peace I currently have is waning. Soon the home I’ve built will be destroyed by any number of causes. And I will move on and rebuild. I love this metaphor for living. This is the Joro spider. They are found in Georgia and South Carolina.
