About the Work
The layered imagery in this photograph allows for many questions to be asked? Lying asleep in my thoughts I often think about how I got here. Why was I born into this family at this time? It’s meaningless to ask really but it does portend a deeper inner dialogue that has real value. Questions of humanity, rights to land, borders, concepts of culture, otherness, family and even politics. I challenge you to look at this photograph and be open to whatever arises in your mind.
