About the Work
I grew up in Nascar country, central North Carolina. By the age of 8 I was ripping around on go karts fitted with plastic bodies of our favorite drivers like Bill Elliott and Dale Earnhardt. Everyone’s dads drank Budweiser and smoked. Church, nascar, bicycles, summer nights, flashlight tag, fireflies, scraped knees, fights, dirt jumps, micro machines, skateboarding, sunburn and He-man. Make a collage of those things and it would encapsulate the 1980s for me.
About the Edition
Each month, Jones releases a 3 fine art photographs from the brand new series 'Closer Than My Breath.' Every print is a meditation on themes of pain, healing, and transcendence, blending abstraction with photographic precision. Inspired by poetry, recovery, love and meditation, these works invite collectors to slow down and experience photography as both image and ritual.
